We all want to know the answer to that question! Whatever it is we are contemplating buying – whether shoes, a holiday or professional advice – wanting to understand how much it will cost will immediately help us evaluate whether that thing is worth it.

There are companies that are cheaper, and certainly ones that are more expensive. In order to decide, firstly, there are architects who provide design and architects – as well as architectural technicians – who provide drawings. The latter do the perfunctory job of making sure your ideas are conveyed to Planning departments and meet building regulations. The former, however, are selling their ability to think about your project uniquely.

Beyond that, you may want to see your home in VR or with visualisations. You may also want a cost estimate of the construction to accompany the design so you can balance aspirations and budget. And you may also want someone to project manage the process dealing with other consultants, building control and the contractor during construction.
