Hotpod Yoga

Hotpod Yoga is a B-Corp whose leadership think big. Hotpod Yoga partners their high quality teaching with soothing heat, calming scents, glowing lights and relaxing beats that are intended to inspire everyone to feel great through the power of yoga.

Launched in 2013, their franchise model is growing fast. However, with the 2023 legislation changes to the Building Regulations, they were alert to the requirement of a Principal Designer to ensure compliance. Moreover, they felt an architect could assist in the design for franchise owners who otherwise had limited property experience.  They took an active role in finding a solution, seeking an architect who could work with them to streamline a service with a low unit cost that was viable due to being replicable.

All commercial organisations will have to appoint a PD for notifiable work. Bringing an architect into your team in the role early in your projects will take advantage of their unique skill in overseeing the design and ultimately, allow them to design for safety proactively, looking after your commercial interests.

A standard solution for complex and varied locations

Each location places their patented inflatable yoga pods inside their permanent yoga studios to provide an immersive experience for their classes. So far, we have helped seven franchise locations to be launch ready.

We had already taken formal training on life safety and the new Principal Designer duty. Over a few conversations, we established an open dialogue, and our work on the immediate matter of helping franchises open was done in a spirit of engagement with HQ. This made everyone more comfortable to help the core business with ideas and strategy that could benefit all future franchisees.

We helped HQ with their strategic fit-out guidelines, accessibility requirements and shower design and offered advice on how to help franchise owners with all their property-related challenges so they can focus on business promotion and operation.

And our vast experience helping non-professional clients meant that we could comfortably hand-hold franchise owners through many of their fit-out challenges.
