“We started with a blank canvas” – Hepworth Place in Ideal Home Magazine

< Back to Insights

For the October edition of Ideal Home Magazine, Collective Works’ Alasdair and his partner, Sarah talked to Ruth Corbett about how they used colour, texture, lighting and art to elevate the interior of Hepworth Place, their newbuild duplex apartment.

Ripping out brand new flooring and kitchens felt wrong – and at odds with their sustainable ethos so they decided only to add, not take away, to bring life and warmth to their new build home. In this article they talk about how they embedded a connection to nature in their home through earthy colours, functional furniture and new and existing artworks.  From their choice of fabrics, to furniture brough with them from their former rental homes, and new pieces bought for the new house, they detail how the design of their home has come together – with the help of Consult by FD as interior designers.
